01 — About

Most students are told to pick a lane.I've never found that very interesting.

I'm more interested in seeing what happens when you drive across several, and then figuring out how they merge.

Hi, I'm Ishaan, a 16 year old based in Singapore working to build a future at the intersection of medicine and technology, whilst leveraging my entrepreneurial skills along the way to create real impact.

I’m especially interested in how science and technology can be used to improve human lives, whether that's through advances in healthcare, better medical systems, or simple everyday innovations that make things even 1% better.

Through my experience showcased in this portfolio, I’ve built a foundation covering medicine, engineering, entrepreneurship, and social impact; turning ideas into meaningful outcomes.

Things I’ve built from scratch.

Hybrid Go-Kart

An 8.5HP, 1600W, dual-powered beast consisting of hydraulic brakes, FNR gearbox, rack and pinion steering, and air suspension, reaching speeds of over 70kph. Fully custom designed and self-welded mild-steel chassis.

ROVER MK-I

A fully 3D-printed six-wheeled exploration rover custom designed using CAD, featuring rocker-bogie suspension, independent steering, and omnidirectional movement with custom electronics, embedded systems, and precision engineering for advanced all-terrain mobility.

International Medicine & Healthcare

Explored anatomy, pharmacology, neurology, ethics, diagnostic radiology, surgical simulation, microbiomes, and cancer immunotherapy — finishing among the programme’s top participants.

Clinical Shadowing

Renal Medicine

Shadowed Dr Sreekanth Koduri at Changi General Hospital, observing ward rounds, nephrology clinics, dialysis operations, and clinical decision-making.

50+ hours

Healthcare Volunteering

Supported patients in service-focused environments, building a deeper understanding of empathy, consistency, responsibility, and human connection in care.

First Place · Sustainability

Driving the Future with Biofuels

Produced ethanol from food waste through fermentation and distillation, then tested fuel blends on a modified motorised bicycle.

04 — Entrepreneurship

From identifying a problem to presenting a validated solution on a global stage.

The opportunity

Cyclists remain vulnerable, while many e-bike solutions prioritise mobility without adequately addressing safety or affordability.

The solution

RovaDrive combines lightweight electric assistance with intelligent rider-safety technology and software-led collision awareness.

The validation

500+ responses, 50+ interviews, conversations with Grab, Decathlon, TigerPug, and TVS Motors, plus a secured Letter of Intent.

TYE Singapore

Won the national round and earned the opportunity to represent Singapore in Seattle.

Global Semi-Finals

Won our semi-final track and advanced as one of six global finalists.
